The studios toolkit

The studios toolkit is designed for version 5 and above browsers. It uses a cookie to control your username and password (this expires after a few minutes of inactivity), and javascript.

To download current browsers go to:

• Netscape
• Internet Explorer
• Firefox (Windows and Mac OSX)
• Mozilla (Windows and Mac OSX)
• Opera (Windows and Mac)

To check your bowsers settings for cookies:

• Mac Internet explorer To allow cookies on Mac Intenet Explorer:
  • Select "Edit" from the toolbar
  • Select "Preferences"
  • Scroll down to "Receiving Files"
  • Select "Cookies"
  • Ensure "When receiving cookies" is set to "Never ask"
• Mac Netscape To allow cookies on Mac Netscape:
  • Select "Edit" from toolbar
  • Select "Preferences"
  • Scroll down to "Roaming access"
  • Select "File selection"
  • Ensure "Cookies" are ticked
• Windows Internet explorer 6 To allow cookies on Windows Internet Explorer:
  • Select "Tools" from tool bar
  • Select "Internet options"
  • Select "Privacy"
  • Scroll slider to "Medium High"
• Windows Netscape 7 To allow cookies on Windows Netscape:
  • Select "Tools" from tool bar
  • Select "Cookie Manager"
  • Check "Allow Session Cookies for the site"
• Windows Firefox To allow cookies on Windows Firefox:
  • Select "Tools" from tool bar
  • Select "Options"
  • Select "Cookies"
  • Ensure "Accept cookies normally" is checked
• Windows Mozilla To allow cookies on Windows Mozilla
  • Select "Tools" from tool bar
  • Select "Preferences"
  • Check "Use Default Cookie Permissions" or "Allow Cookies for this Site"
• Windows Opera Select "Tools" from tool bar
  • Select "Preferences"
  • Select "Privacy"
  • Ensure "Enable cookies is checked"
  • Ensure "Normal cookies" is set to "Accept all cookies"

a-n Subscribers

• If you have logged on to www.a-n.co.uk your username and password will automatically be transferred to the toolkit.
• If you change your username and password in www.a-n.co.uk these will be treated by the toolkit as a new user and any responses you previously saved won't be accessible.
• To access previously stored responses:
  • click logout link to logout of the toolkit
  • on the "Goodbye" screen click login link and enter your original username and password
  • in the "Welcome back" screen click Edit login link
  • In the "Change login details" screen ammend your username and password to the new settings used for www.a-n.co.uk and click Update database button
